Mountain Hawks take down Villanova to improve to 2-0 on the season
BETHLEHEM, Pa. – On a sunny afternoon honoring Harry Wang and Jacob Edelchik on Seniors’ Day, the Lehigh men’s tennis team improved to 2-0 with a 6-1 win over the Villanova Wildcats. The Mountain Hawks took the colon and won five single games.

For the second straight year this season, Lehigh got off to a good start and won the colon. Lehigh won two of the games to secure the early point. The dynamic duo of Wang and Zack Elliott took first place with a 6-2 win. In second place, Edelchik and Gary Fishkin achieved a 6-3 victory.
Lehighs Elliott (6-1, 6-1), Wang (6-1, 6-2) and Jeremy Leaner (6-2, 6-2) won decisive straight sets.
Edelchik and Matt Kleiman both scored victories in three sets in the afternoon. Although Kleiman dropped the first set to third, he showed his resilience by winning the next two in a dramatic 6: 7, 6: 2, 11: 9. In the No. 5 singles, Edelchik won in the first and third sets. The senior won 7-5, 3-6, 10-8.
Next, the Mountain Hawks travel north to beautiful Hamilton, NY. Lehigh will face Colgate on Saturday March 27th.
