Adam Newbold, domestic terrorist, was a signal flare. Did anyone notice?

Adam Newbold, ex-Seal, insurrectionist, right-wing extremist was a signal flare. Did anyone notice?
Pop culture and politics has made Special Operators idols over the past two-decades. A blend of American hard-power and soft-power. But the case of Adam Newbold, an ex-Navy SEAL who organized a group that took part in the Capitol Riot serves notice that false idolatry has its price.
Video shows Adam Newbold, 45, from Lisbon, Ohio, who the Navy confirmed is a retired reserve SEAL special warfare operator, in a car on his return home from Washington, telling his Facebook followers that he was “proud” of the assault on the U.S. Capitol building.
“There was destruction, breaching the Capitol, our building, our house. … You had to destroy doors and windows to get in,” Newbold says in a now-deleted video.
Newbold, who served 24 years in the U.S. Navy and has said online that he trains civilians and police in tactical shooting, said he wanted to make lawmakers “think twice about what they’re doing” and to be left “shaking in their shoes.”
Shaking in their shoes. Newbold was explicit. He wanted to terrorize the U.S. Congress. That was his aim. Newbold is explicitly a domestic terrorist. Nothing could be clearer.
The insurrectionist ex-SEAL @AdamNewbold21, the one who embarrassed the entire @USNavy, has revealed what must be serious challenges to the SEAL training
Note that you never see ex #Delta guys exhibiting this kind of attention-seeking married to the betrayal of their oath. @USASOCNews needs to get a handle on the failures in training and screening. The Navy needs to root out Right-Wing Extremists and benchmark Delta training.
If there are more ex-SEALs like @AdamNewbold21 on the loose, the Navy has created a significant domestic terror threat. @SecDef Austin needs to do a critical top-bottom review of what happened with Newbold, make sure he has not created a terror cell, and examine if there are other dangerous former special operators at large. The whole SOC community needs to take these risks to Americans seriously.
@AdamNewbold21 is not only a criminal but exhibits some serious psychopathologies, and according to social media allegations, was threatening other Americans prior to the #CapitolRiot. It is on the Navy, @RealNCIS, SOCOM to take meaningful action and review causes and origins of the radicalization of @AdamNewbold21. Did it occur during active-duty? Were the seeds planted then? Were there signs missed by the chain of command, by fellow operators? The public deserves answers, sooner than later.
Even after the deaths from the Capitol Riot, Newbold was unchastened by events.” I will tell you that some of your friends, your brothers, your members here, and patriots, were on the very, very front lines of that,” Newbold says a January 6 video. “No matter how the media spins it, guys, it was a necessary thing.”
Newbold benefited from millions of dollars in tax-payer training. He used that training to create a business. He used that training to terrorize Congress. And the nation beyond.
His demonstrated attitude and affect means there is another necessary thing. That is the prosecution of Newbold, and a parallel serious review by the Navy, SOCOM and the civilian leadership at the Department of Defense.
