Women’s Tennis went to Easton and tamed the Leopards on Saturday, winning 7-0
EASTON, Pa. – The women’s Lehigh tennis teams (5-3, 4-2) went to Easton on Saturday and tamed the Lafayette leopards 7-0. The browns and whites won all nine games played on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Mountain Hawks now have 18 against the Leopards.
Lehigh quickly jumped out of the gates and took the colon on Lafayette. At the number 1 place. Paula Gonzalez and Leighanna Moskos won 6-3, while the pair No. 3 made up of Junmoke James and Anshika Singh also won 6-3. In second place, Ella Imhof and Casey Zhong defeated their opponents 6-2.
Lehigh switched to the singles and dominated the six games. He won five of them in straight sets. The two seniors Gonzalez and Zhong are flexing their muscles and have won both games convincingly. Gonzalez scored 6-3, 6-2 while Zhong beat her opponent 6-2, 6-1. In second place, the second James was blown by her opponent with 6-4, 6-3.
Imhof continued her strong season in third place and won a nice 6-4, 6-4 win against the Leopard. The junior, who took fifth place, won 7: 5, 6: 3. Most recently, Anushka took her first career win on Saturday and won 6: 1, 4: 6, 6: 1.
