Union Cannabis Group Welcomes New Chief Financial Officer

Adam Siskin, finance specialist for CPG and M&A, strengthens the management team

SAN FRANCISCO, June 2, 2021 / PRNewswire-PRWeb / – The Union Cannabis Group (UCG Inc .; UCG), a leading product manufacturing and branding company in the recreational cannabis industry, this week expanded its leadership team with the appointment of Adam Siskin as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Siskin has been a consultant to UCG ever since November 2019, helps with compiling the business plan and go-to-market strategy. Siskin’s background has focused on helping CPG companies in the natural products industry who began building the financial infrastructure of Rao’s Homemade, which was acquired for over $ 400 million.

After the acquisition, Adam worked with over 25 food and beverage brands in finance, strategy and business advisory roles as well as VC funds in the space. Like many CPG executives, Siskin began focusing his efforts on the cannabis arena, where he supported companies like the Stanley Brother’s Recreate brand and Lowell Farms.

He has extensive experience in private equity lending, M&A and corporate finance, healthcare and technology, and start-up / acquisition integration.

A graduate of the Lehigh University, Siskin is pleased to join the company in an expanded role and to continue its work in the cannabis arena in this crucial phase of the industry as certain sectors and products of the cannabis industry are increasingly being marketed and brands with conquering increasing importance win important.

“From day one, I was impressed with UCG’s team and business model,” said Siskin. “Running a cannabis brand in the challenging regulatory and legal environment – as well as the cash burn often associated with growing a brand – is a difficult path. Through a licensing model, UCG is able to expand its brand and presence quickly and at no cost to the CapEx and OpEx costs, which I currently consider to be an attractive way to approach the industry. “

The story goes on

UCG also owns and operates the award-winning Dabstract brand, a connoisseur’s leisure brand available throughout the state Washington and is currently expanding to four more states. “Adam’s addition to the team has helped position UCG for rapid expansion in the rest of the country and internationally,” said Sushanta Parik, CEO of UCG. “His expertise in developing the CPG market and in mergers and acquisitions will be invaluable as we approach deals with potential partners across the legal cannabis market.”

Siskin’s CPG background ranges from working with pre-revenue companies to private equity firms – an experience he will be happy to leverage for the Dabstract brand and UCG’s future brands. “I’ve built financial infrastructures that have enabled dozens of CPG brands to scale and grow effectively,” he said. “Using the same financial lens and analytical approach will allow UCG to scale with confidence.”
