Elliott earns Academic All-Patriot League selection

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior Zack Elliott of the Lehigh men’s tennis team was named to the selection of the Academic All-Patriot League on Thursday afternoon, as announced by the league office. The honor comes a week after the junior received the First Team All-Patriot League award for the first time in his career.

Elliott joins six other Patriot League student-athletes on this prestigious list. To be eligible, the student athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. The team is elected by Patriot League Sports Information Directors.

The men’s tennis captain earned 3.61 points, majoring in computer science and economics. Elliott is also twice on the Patriot League Academic Roll of Honor and has been named three Dean’s List during his Lehigh academic career.

“Zack has shown a consistent commitment to top performance on the pitch and in the classroom,” said head coach Wouter Hendrix. “He sets an example with his work ethic and time management. I take great pride in the way Zack embodies the values ​​of the ultimate scholar-athlete.”

The junior captain has had a year leading the Mountain Hawks to the top of the Patriot League semi-finals, finishing first in both singles and doubles. Elliott set a 4-4 record in singles and a 5-3 overall record in doubles.
