COVID-19: Vaccinated Americans Can Soon Go Without Face Mask Indoors, Report Says Citing CDC
Americans fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will soon be unable to wear masks indoors in most locations. The Associated Press reported on Thursday.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention appears to be issuing new guidelines on wearing inner masks and promoting face coverings only in crowded indoor areas, the AP said, citing a CDC source.
Areas where masks are still required include buses, airplanes, hospitals, prisons, and shelters for the homeless.
By Thursday afternoon, approximately 46 percent of the American population – or 154 million people – were fully vaccinated, data shows.
