2.26.21: Thank you to Students

Dear students,

The recent significant drop in the COVID-19 positivity rate for students reflects important changes you’ve made over the past two weeks. We’d like to take this moment to reiterate your efforts and to thank you for your patience and willingness to do the things that we know include the spread of COVID.

This decline is good news and an important step in our efforts to create more opportunities for personal learning and student life. It is also a great step forward in creating a safe environment for the communities in Lehigh and the greater Bethlehem area.

We know many of you did the right things, and this improvement is testament to your hard work. It shows us that we can do what needs to be done to prevent and reverse COVID outbreaks in our community.

Because of this decline in the positivity rate and the number of cases, the CRT has sought to ease restrictions on campus activities. We hope that the low positivity rate and number of cases will continue and that we can maintain and even expand the possibilities for personal face-to-face activities within the limits set by security. Thank you for your partnership and for looking after each other. Keep it up!

Best,

Nathan and Ric
