Women’s Track and Field Return Home for Angry Birds Invitational

BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania – The Lehigh women’s athletics team returns for their annual Angry Birds Invitational Meet at Rauch Fieldhouse on January 15th. The Mountain Hawks compete against Binghamton, Monmouth and Sacred Heart.

The one-day meeting starts at 10.30am with the women’s weight loss and will last all afternoon.

During their season opener, Fast Times Before Finals, the Mountain Hawks had 19 student-athletes PR and six picked up the all-time top 10.

Freshman Melissa Cunningham finished her first college meeting with a PR and two top 10s all-time. She pr-ed over 60m with a time of 7,827 and is now fourth all-time for Lehigh. Her second place over 200 m brings her to the sixth place of all time with a time of 25.66.

Junior Calista Marzolino got a new PR at the season opener from Lehigh. She took first place in the high jump with a final score of 1.70 m and is tied for third place in the history of Lehigh.

Teasha McKoy didn’t disappoint at the first meeting of her senior season. McKoy finished first in both the shot put and weight throw. She pr-ed in the shot with a throw of 13.79 meters and is now the fourth all-time leader.
