The browns and whites won all eight games played that afternoon. The only match that didn’t take place was Singles # 6, as Loyola didn’t have a player for the match.
Let’s start with the single game for the Mountain Hawks because the best part was that all five winners won in straight sets against their opponents. The most one-sided result came in 5th place, where newcomer Rachel Buchinsky impressively dominated her opponent 6: 1, 6: 1.
In first place Paula Gonzalez defeated Kateri Martin 6: 4, 7: 6, while the second Ella Imhof won against Abigail Thornton 6: 3, 6: 1. Junmoke James, who started in 3rd place, beat Julia Thompson 6: 1, 6: 2. On her first appearance this season, Captain Casey Zhong defeated Taylor Kuncl 6-2, 7-6.
In doubles, the Mountain Hawks scored the point by winning all three doubles matches. Gonzalez and Leighanna Moskos won 7: 6 in first place. At position 2, Zhong and Imhof won 6: 3, while the two newcomers Anushka and Megha Dania won 6: 2.
