Redistricting is now in the courts. See all of the Pa. congressional maps submitted to them
Lawyers for lawmakers and good government groups argued in court Thursday over who had the best map to divide Pennsylvania in to 17 new congressional districts. The state is shedding a congressional seat in the decennial redraw because of slow population growth.
On Sunday, the Commonwealth Court will pick one map for the coming decade after Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf and the Republican-controlled Legislature could not come to an agreement.
Under state law, congressional maps are approved as legislation that the governor can sign or veto. On Thursday, Wolf vetoed the map.
