BETHLEHEM, PA. – Due to a positive COVID-19 test from the Tier 1 test pool of the men’s lacrosse team at Loyola University in Maryland, health and safety log greyhounds are withdrawing from the Patriot League Championship Game out of caution.

After an 11:10 win over the US Military Academy on Friday evening, Loyola was due to face Lehigh University in the championship game on Sunday, May 9th. Due to the non-competition, Lehigh will become the Patriot League’s automatic qualifier for the 2021 NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Championship. The 16-man field will be announced on Sunday at 9 p.m.

Loyola will evaluate its ability to be available for NCAA championship competitions.
