Lehigh Returns to Bethlehem For First Home Meet of the Season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men’s track and field team will return to Goodman Track and Field Complex to host its first home outdoor meet of the season on Saturday. The meet will begin at 9 am with the women’s hammer throw. Track events will begin at 11 am with the women’s 3000m steeplechase.

The Mountain Hawks are coming off a strong 117-86 dual-meet win over Lafayette that included 19 PRs and five top ten all-time additions.

Lehigh found success in the field last weekend, finishing with 10 PRs. Junior Ian Scott was named field athlete of the meet after securing two first-place finishes and two new personal records in the long and triple jump. First-year Skyler Mott finished second in the triple jump with a new PR of 13.05m and a first-place finish in the high jump. In the pole vault, junior Louis Logsdail earned his second personal record of the outdoor season, winning the event with a mark of 4.50m.

Sophomore Achilles Mouzakis earned a first-place finish of his own, winning the hammer throw with a PR of 52.80m. Mouzakis earned his second PR of the meet in the discus, finishing with a mark of 37.57m.

The Mountain Hawks brought the energy to the track last weekend, winning eight races and finishing with nine new personal records. First-year Jonathan Bennett led the way for Lehigh, finishing first in the 110m hurdles and the 200m. Bennett finished both races with new personal records and was named the track athlete of the meet.

Juniors Kerem Ayhan and Brandtson Duffie found success on the track, finishing first in both of their events last Saturday. Ayhan won the 400m with a new PR of 49.91. Duffie won the 800m with a time of 1:55.31. The duo went on to win the 4×400 relay with fellow senior Harrison Ernst and first-year Patrez Thomas.
