Flexicon granted a waiver as a supplier for essential industries

Bulk handling equipment supplier Flexicon Corp. has been granted an exemption from the state of Pennsylvania to continue operating during the COVID-19 outbreak due to its role in the supply chain for life support businesses.

“We have successfully demonstrated that many US Flexicon customers are in critical industries and rely on our equipment and parts to continue to manufacture critical products,” said David Gill, President of Flexicon, in a March 24 statement .

Flexicon is headquartered in Bethlehem, Penn.

Flexicon customers who manufacture critical products are in the food, spice, beverage, pharmaceutical, soap / cleaning, paper, plastic / rubber, and chemical industries.

“We are staying in close contact with our supply chain to ensure fast delivery of the components required to process orders and with our logistics partners to ensure that these orders are delivered on time,” said Gill.

Flexicon’s manufacturing facilities in the UK, Australia and South Africa will also remain open and fully operational.

The company manufactures bulk bag unloaders, bulk bag conditioners, drum fillers, drum / box / container tippers, flexible screw conveyors, pneumatic conveyor systems and engineered plant-wide bulk goods transport systems with automated controls.
