SUNY Canton recognizes the part-time students who received academic awards in Spring 2021. The college has launched part-time honors to recognize students who have earned at least a 3.25 GPA in 6 to 11 credits of coursework.

Emma Kelly of Dansville graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree on June 6th. Emma was awarded summa cum laude for her graduation and was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa, the country’s oldest national honorary organization.

The annual Elmira College Nurse Pinning Ceremony recognized 60 students who have qualified for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Recognized local students included Cassidy Cook from Piffard and Kyra Stella from Batavia.

To be included in the Dean’s Office list, students must have an average grade of 3.5 and meet other criteria:

Nathan R. Ellsworth from Dalton, who studies audio engineering with a focus on live sound production.

Students who are included in the Honors List must be enrolled as Bachelor students, have a full-time workload of 12 semester hours, complete all attempted courses in the time allotted for the semester and achieve an average grade of 3.40 to 3.59 semesters.
