BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women’s tennis team (4-1, 3-0) won their second game in a row, defeating Bucknell Bison 5-2 on Easter Sunday. The Mountain Hawks are now 3-0 in the Patriot League. The Mountain Hawks started today’s game this weekend with a 4-0 win over Colgate in Syracuse, NY

In today’s game against the bison, Lehigh started off with a bang by winning all three doubles to earn the colon. The top team of Leighanna Moskos and Paula Gonzalez defeated their opponents 6-1. The 6-1 result was also the last record in 3rd place, where Junmoke James and Anshika Singh defeated the No. 3 team of the bison. Ella Imhof and Rachel Buchinksy’s 6: 4 victory in second place ensured the double.
In the single game, Lehigh showed his depth with a strong play from the backend in the lineup. The Mountain Hawks won in straight sets in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. James took the victory in 3rd, 7-6, 7-2, while Buchinsky won 4th in 7-6, 6-1. 6-0, 6: 4 was the end result for Junior Singh in 5th place, and then Megha Dania scored a 6-0, 6-1 win in 6th place.
Next, the Mountain Hawks will be welcomed next Saturday in the 2-2 Navy Midshipmen to a match at the Ulrich Courts at 2 p.m.
