Nori Named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week

BETHLEHEM, PA. – Lehigh Junior Gabriella Nori named Patriot League Pitcher of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday. Nori was brilliant at taking wins at both ends of Lehigh’s double-header sweep of Holy Cross on Friday.

This is the second Pitcher of the Week award this season for Nori, also honored after Lehigh’s double-header sweep at Sacred Heart’s season opener.

Nori threw only one run in the double header in Holy Cross on Friday with six hits over eleven innings. She retired all 12 batters she faced in the first four innings of the first game and walked away 4-0 in a game that saw Nori and freshman Katelyn Young in a 6-0 Lehigh win scored a duel. Nori went the distance in the second game, allowing only one run with six hits in Lehigh’s 3-1 win. She knocked out seven batters in each game, with the seven strikeouts setting single game highs for the Mountain Hawks in 2021.

For the season, Nori is now 3-4 with a 2.43 ERA. Nori has hit 40 in 46 innings of work.

The Mountain Hawks (6-10, 4-4 Patriot League) will travel to Colgate this weekend to play a four-game Patriot League series that will feature double heads on both Saturday and Sunday from noon onwards become.
