Dickey Earns Second Straight Patriot League Midfielder of the Week Honor

BETHLEHEM, PA. – For the second year in a row and for the tenth time in her career, Lehigh midfielder Sondra Dickey has been named Patriot League Midfielder of the Week, as announced on Monday. The graduate student contributed three goals, four groundballs, two draw controls and three generated turnovers across the field against Saint Joseph’s on Saturday.

Dickey had a hand in every part of the game. All three goals came in the first half, including the last two, to make the Mountain Hawks within 9-5. For the season, Dickey has 11 goals, one assist, five ground balls, four generated sales and six draw controls.

Senior midfielder Hannah Cermack also received an Honorable Mention. She also played a key role at both ends of the field, recording three ground balls, four draw controls and four career-high assists.

Lehigh will celebrate his first win of the young season on Saturday when he travels to La Salle for a 4pm showdown against the Explorers.
