Mountain Hawks Announce 2021 Schedule

BETHLEHEM, Pennsylvania – Lehigh Head Field Hockey Coach Caitlin Dallmeyer announced the Mountain Hawks 2021 schedule Monday, a full list of 17 games – nine at home and eight on the road. In addition to their six Patriot League competitions, the Mountain Hawks will play eleven games outside of the league, including three against schools in the Philadelphia area (Villanova, La Salle and Temple).

Lehigh starts the season at Villanova on Friday, August 27, before returning home for the next two – against Longwood two days later (Sunday, August 29) and Bryant the following Sunday (September 5). The next weekend features two games in La Salle (Friday) and at home against Georgetown (Sunday).

On Friday, September 17, the Mountain Hawks host Boston University to kick off the Patriot League and head to Long Island on Sunday. Each of the following five weekends includes a single Patriot League competition – Colgate (September 25), Holy Cross (October 2), against American (October 9), Bucknell (October 16) and against Lafayette (October 22) October). Each of these games take place on Saturday, except for The Rivalry vs. the Leopards, which is scheduled for Friday night.

Lehigh’s remaining non-league games include a home match against Temple – the program’s first matchup with the Owls since 2008. Temple’s head coach is Susan Ciufo-Bennett, a former assistant to the Mountain Hawks. Lehigh will also host the reigning NEC Champion Rider on Sunday October 17th. The Mountain Hawks will end the regular season at Wagner on Sunday, October 31st.

The Patriot League semi-finals are scheduled for Thursday November 4th, with the title game on Saturday November 6th.
