Mountain Hawks 10th After Day One of The Doc Gimmler

FARMINGDALE, NY – On its second weekend of the fall season, the Lehigh men’s golf team ranks 10th after day one of The Doc Gimmler, hosted by St. John’s on the Red Course in Bethpage State Park. The Mountain Hawks shot up 585 over 36 holes (299, 286) on Saturday, led by Junior Sam Barton, who finished three over par 143 that day.

Behind Barton was junior David Hurly (39th place, 7th over par 147), second Edmund Broderick (51st place, 9th over par 149), newcomer Jahan Bains (59th place, 10th over par 150) and junior Daniel Song (tied for 67. , 12-over-par 152).

Columbia comes first as a team after Saturday, shooting one under par 559. Jack Simon of St. John’s and Sho Wai Wu of Yale are individually at two under par 138.

The Mountain Hawks will finish The Doc Gimmler with the final 18 holes on Sunday.
