Madison Cawthorne threatens Biden – Guerin Green

Peter Wehner was a former member of the Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations. Bush and George W. Bush pointed out in The Atlantic how the right wing has moved towards extremism. Former president Trump’s behavior in 2015 and 2016 was so shocking, is being ignored by pundits and lawmakers who are more extreme.

Yesterday, Madison Cawthorn, a Republican from North Carolina, claimed that January 6 rioters were “political hostages”. He said that he was actively working on the ….. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) said yesterday that he was working on a plan to remove Biden from office. He added that he could not make that decision right now. The Second Amendment was created to fight against tyranny.

Right-wing agitators are increasingly calling for the overthrow of government.

Steve Lynch, a Northampton County candidate, stated today that he would not enter these school boards with “freakish data.” These school boards are there to remove them. I’m going with 20 strong men. I’m gonna give them the option to leave or be removed.

Yesterday, Santa Monica protestors gathered to protest a mandate for masks. A man holding a sign bearing the names and addresses of all the Los Angeles City Council members held it. He said that if the mandate passed, then civil war was coming. Get your guns!”

Street-level violence can lead to radicalization as people get caught up in the violence and later adopt the larger political arguments. This also makes it difficult for more rational people to get out of government positions, as they realize that their position on a schoolboard is not worth the threats to their families or their lives.

Right-wing leaders encourage this violence and are not trying to stop it. Tonight on Fox News Channel, Tucker Carlson, a personality, stated to his audience that no leader has ever apologized for the “terrible decisions” made in Afghanistan. He said, “This cannot continue.” “People revolt …. when leaders refuse to be held accountable. Or else, the consequences could be severe.

The images behind Carlson showed President Biden, Secretary of States Blinken, Defense secretary Austin, and the Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Milley. Carlson is known for his attempts to undermine the military’s current leadership and suggests that he would be open to the replacement of less-respectable officers.

Republican offense could be a defense strategy.

Today, Representative Bennie Thompson (D–MS), who is the chair of the House Select Committee to investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, announced the demand that 35 major communication companies keep their records from April 1, 2020 to January 31, 2021 for anyone involved in the January 5 or 6 rallies in Washington, D.C. or “potentially implicated with discussions” regarding the December 6 election count or any other discussions related to the January 6 rebellion. CNN reports that the affected companies include Verizon Wireless, AT&T and T-Mobile as well as Sprint. The request covers social media companies such as Apple, Google and Facebook.

CNN reports that the members of the committee requested the preservation of records from representatives Cawthorn (R–CO), Marjorie Taylor Greene(R–GA), Jim Jordan, Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar (R–AZ), Mo Brooks (R–AL), Matt Gaetz (“R–FL”), Louie Gohmert (R–TX), Jody Haice (R–GA) and Scott Perry (“R–PA”). They also requested that the records of Trump’s former children, Ivanka Trump Jr., Donald Trump Jr., and Eric Trump, as well as those of Lara Trump, Don Jr., and Kimberly Guilfoyle (who worked on the campaign), be preserved by the companies.
