At Lehigh Acres, there’s nothing more important than promoting activities for our local youth. The Lehigh Acres Cadet Program is a youth-oriented program focused on professional study of a professional firefighter career with the Lehigh Acres Fire Control and Rescue District. The program’s mission is to enable cadets to better understand a firefighter career through an experience that balances both classroom learning and hands-on learning. Each cadet will learn mental and physical wellbeing, a sense of responsibility, personal growth, leadership, discipline, teamwork, and fire safety skills. The aim of the cadet program is to ensure that all eligible youth, regardless of their financial ability to purchase the required clothing and equipment, can participate. Community partners can support the Cadet program by sponsoring the purchase of their equipment, traveling to competitions, and funding various team activities. Any amount can help improve a prospective cadet’s ability to participate in the program.
