Class of 2025 Moves In, Returns to More Traditional Experience
Bailey Flanagan ’25 began her journey in Olathe, Kansas and began the trip to campus on Tuesday at 4 a.m. with her parents and arrived in Bethlehem on Wednesday evening. Although nervous after the long drive in Bethlehem, she said she felt better Thursday morning when her parents helped her unload her van and physically take her to the Centennial II Complex.
“It’s all a little overwhelming, but exciting,” said Flanagan.
Joseph J. Helble ’82, who began his tenure as the 15th President of Lehigh earlier this week, greeted families in the Class of 2025 with a video message to the Lehigh family.
“This class is an exceptionally talented group, and as a parent, I know the important role you played in your student’s journey,” said Helble. “Thank you for everything you have done to support and guide them on their way.”
Helble also recognized his Lehigh roots and recalled the influence the Lehigh community had on him during his time at university as a student.
“I’m a proud alumnus, a 1982 Lehigh Class graduate, and I know exactly what this university has to offer each and every student,” said Helble. “I will tell you that Lehigh, the Lehigh Church, faculty, staff, and students at the heart of this great institution have changed my view of what is possible in life, and I am confident that it will do so for yours Students will do the same. “
