Nagelhout named an Academic All-Patriot League selection

BETHLEHEM, PA. – Senior middle blocker Claire Nagelhout, who excelled in the classroom, was named to the Academic All-Patriot League selection on Friday afternoon, as announced by the league office. With this award, Nagelhout receives the award from 2011 as the 11th Mountain Hawk in a row.

Nagelhout joins six other Patriot League student athletes on the elite list. To be eligible, the student athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher. The team is elected by Patriot League Sports Information Directors.

The psychology student earned a cumulative GPA of 3.78 with a GPA of 4.0 in four semesters, including a perfect fall GPA. Nagelhout has been a member of the Patriot League’s academic honor roll three times this season.

Nagelhout started eight of Lehigh’s nine games in spring 2021 and ended with 29 kills and 15 total blocks, both career highs for the senior. Her best getaway was on March 21st in Loyola Maryland. She ended her career with 12 kills and five total blocks to help the Mountain Hawks beat the greyhounds on the road in five sets.
