Lehigh wrestlers drop out of top 25 in NWCA coaches poll

One way for Lehigh wrestling fans to look at this week’s NWCA coaches poll is that the Mountain Hawks are ranked 26th.

The other way would be to say Lehigh has dropped out of the top 25.

The Mountain Hawks (6-9) are the top “receiving votes” team after losses over the weekend to Columbia (18-17) and now-No. 19 Arizona State (20-16). Lehigh was ranked No. 21 in last week’s poll.

Lehigh will be back in action Saturday (2 pm) when EIWA rival Army visits Grace Hall.

Penn State, after its 23-14 defeat of Iowa Friday, is now an unanimous No. 1.

Penn moved into the top 25 at No. 25 to give the EIWA two top-25 teams with Cornell at No. 5.
