BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Head coach Kevin Cahill has announced the addition of eight student-athletes that will join the Lehigh football program on Wednesday, National Signing Day. The eight signees join the four student-athletes that signed National Letters of Intent in December as the initial members of Lehigh football’s class of 2027.
“Starting with the early signing period we have been able to add some great prospects to our program,” Cahill said. “With the second signing period opening today, we are excited to begin adding some very exciting components to our Lehigh football family. The coaching staff has done a tremendous job hitting the ground running and adding tremendous value in our recruiting class.”
The 12 signees covering the December and current periods include one quarterback, one running back, a wide receiver, one tight end, two offensive linemen, three defensive linemen, a linebacker and two defensive backs.
Six states are represented among the initial signees, with Georgia and Florida leading the way with four and three signees, respectively. Two of the newcomers from Pennsylvania, while New Jersey, North Carolina and Texas are also represented.
“The Lehigh community has been incredibly impressive,” Cahill said. “The support from the staff, professors, alumni and community has been over the top. These relationships have continued to prove why Lehigh is a special place and takes a special type of prospect to join our program.”
Wednesday marks the beginning of the traditional signing period with the Mountain Hawks expected to add more signees to the program in the coming weeks.
