Lehigh Looking for 31st Straight Win Over Lafayette

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men’s swimming and diving team returns to action against Lafayette in Easton on Friday at 6 pm It’s Lehigh’s first meet in almost a month as the last time the Mountain Hawks competed was on Oct. 22. Lehigh is 1-3.

The Mountain Hawks are searching for their 31st straight win against the Leopards. Lafayette is 1-4 this season. The Leopards lost to Loyola, Navy, Bucknell, Colgate, and they beat American.

The last time Lehigh lost was in 1990. The Mountain Hawks are 77-14 all-time against the Leopards.

Last year, the Mountain Hawks defeated the Leopards 154-134. Lehigh had nine first-place finishes in that meet. Miles Cox is the only athlete currently on the roster that took home a first place finish. Cox won the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard butterfly.

First-year Aaron Williams has been a star so far for the Mountain Hawks in his early collegiate career. Williams tied for a first-place finish in the 50-yard free, and he won the 100-yard butterfly, and was on the winning 200-yard freestyle team against Loyola.

Following the meet against Lafayette, Lehigh will compete against Drexel on Dec. 3 at 10:30 am in Philadelphia.
