Lehigh Valley businesses accused of liquor law violations

The state police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement has released its monthly report of Lehigh Valley businesses and other establishments cited for alleged liquor law violations.

Each licensee will have the chance to defend itself against citations before an administrative law judge.

The judge may impose fines of $50 to $1,000 for minor violations, or up to $5,000 for more serious offenses, as well as suspend or revoke business licenses and mandate training.

The following were cited in December:

Liberty Fire Co No. 5, 311 N. Hall Street Rear, Allentown: Multiple alleged violations, including:

  • Failure to maintain a copy of its constitution and by-laws on site;
  • Failure to adhere to its constitution and/or by-laws;
  • failure to conduct business through officers regularly elected;
  • Failure to hold regular meetings;
  • Sale of alcoholic beverages as the primary interest and activity of the organization;
  • Sale of alcoholic beverages to nonmembers;
  • Failure to maintain complete and truthful malt or brewed beverage dispensing system cleaning records;
  • Failure to display documents that the premises met all sanitary requirements for a public eating place;
  • Failure to maintain complete and truthful records covering the operation of the business;
  • Failure to keep records on the premises;
  • Failure to return records to the premises within 24 hours of a request from the Enforcement Bureau

The Coplay Saengerbund, 205 p. 5th St., Coplay: Allegedly sold alcohol to nonmembers and failed to maintain complete and truthful records concerning small games of chance.

Firewalkers Small Batch Distillery, aka Triple Sun Spirits, 518A Bank Street, Emmaus: Allegedly imported liquor into the state in violation of liquor code; sold, furnished or gave alcohol at a place other than the licensed premises; sold alcoholic products produced by other Pennsylvania licensed manufacturers for consumption off-premises; Failed to notify the Liquor Control Board within 15 days of a change of manager.

MS Depot, aka Wooden Match, 61 W. Lehigh St., Bethlehem: Allegedly sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted the sale of alcohol to six minors, ages 16, 18 and 20; smoked and/or employees permitted smoking in a public place where it is prohibited.

K and K Partners LLC, aka Dell’s by the River, aka The Iron Mule: 831 S. Delaware Drive, Easton: Allegedly sold, furnished and or gave alcohol after 2 am
