BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women’s tennis team hosted its fall invitational Saturday and Sunday on the Ulrich Varsity Courts. The Mountain Hawks faced Patriot League rivals Colgate and Army West Point plus Fairfield in a hidden dual format.
In total, Lehigh went 6-3 in doubles action across the two day event and 11-9 in singles action.
Lehigh began play at his home invitational by going 6-1 against Colgate in singles play on Saturday. The Mountain Hawks then went 1-3 in doubles against Army, with sophomores Anuskha and Megha Dania winning at the fourth flight, and then closed out day one by going 4-3 in singles against Fairfield. Both Dania sisters plus sophomore Rachel Buchinsky and freshman Allyce Gaborik won against the Stags.
Sunday began with a two-match doubles sweep of Fairfield. Lehigh then went 1-5 in singles against Army with Anushka Dania claiming the lone win at the No. 6 flights. The Mountain Hawks closed out the weekend with a doubles sweep of Colgate.
