Marblehead Students Honored At Colgate, Lehigh, Stonehill, WPI

MARBLEHEAD, MA — These Marblehead students were among those recently earning academic or athletic distinctions at colleges, universities and schools across the nation.

Isabelle Tinti-Kane was named to the 2022 fall semester Dean’s List at Ohio Wesleyan University.

To earn Dean’s List recognition, Ohio Wesleyan students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale in all applicable classes.

Lauren Donovana member of the Class of 2026, has been named to the Fall 2022 Dean’s List at Stonehill College.

To qualify for the Stonehill Dean’s List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have successfully completed all courses for which they were registered.

SophieCollins, Margaret Mancusi-Ungaro other Sofia Mottola earned Dean’s List honors at Lehigh University this fall. This status is granted to students who earned a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of regularly graded courses.

Benjamin Twomblya member of the class of 2024 majoring in Aerospace Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), was a member of a student team that recently completed an intense research project titled Revisiting the HDC Guidelines on Solar Technologies.

At WPI, all undergraduates are required to complete a research-driven, professional-level project that applies science and technology that addresses an important societal need or issue. About two-thirds of students complete a project at one of the university’s 50-plus off-campus project centers, which are located around the world.

Colgate University students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade earn the spring 2022 Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.

Zachary Golda graduate of Gann Academy the New Jewish High School of Waltham, and Christopher Kinga graduate of Marblehead High School, earned that honor at Colgate.

Cannan Whittiera member of the Colgate University Class of 2025, also earned the spring 2022 Dean’s Award with Distinction.

noah man, from the Class of 2023, was named to the Fall 2022 Head of School Scholar Honors list at Pomfret School. To achieve this level of distinction, Mann earned a grade point average of at least 4.00 and received no grade lower than an A-.

Steve Hutchinsona member of St. Lawrence University’s Class of 2023, spent his summer immersed in the workplace culture of eBay, putting his liberal arts experience to work while learning first-hand how a finance organization works at a major global company.

To get there, he leaned on the mentorship and advice of St. Lawrence University alumni from across generations.

Hutchinson is a double major in Economics and Business.

Emerson College student OLIVER GLASSof the men’s cross country team, which was recently named to the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Sportsmanship Team.

The All-Sportsmanship Team award is intended to recognize one student-athlete from each institution in every sport. The award is given to a student who best demonstrates the ideals of NEWMAC and its Code of Conduct.

Glass is majoring in Sports Communication and is a member of the class of 2023.
