Army broke the scoreless deadlock with three runs in the third inning. Kayla Edwards opened the scoring with an RBI single and Leila Hurst followed with a two run home run.

The Black Knights tackled on three more in the fourth on a run-scoring error, an Edwards sacrifice fly and a Hurst RBI single and ended the game with two runs in the fifth on a single, a stolen base, an RBI single and a double . Hurst was 6-for-7 with six RBIs to lead Army in Tuesday’s two games.
