BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men’s soccer team returns home for its last regular season game in a key matchup vs. Colgate on Wednesday at 6 pm at the Ulrich Sports Complex.

It is a must-win for the Mountain Hawks as they look to clinch a spot in the Patriot League Tournament for the second straight year.

Lehigh comes into the match with an overall record of 3-9-3 (2-4-2 PL), while Colgate is 6-3-7 (2-1-5 PL). The Raiders have tied the last four games. In the last four games, they’ve also recorded one goal in each game, which were all scored by four different players.

To qualify for the tournament, Lehigh will need a win over Colgate combined with a Navy win over American or a Loyola loss to Bucknell.

If the Mountain Hawks make the tournament, the Patriot League quarterfinal game will be played Saturday. Lehigh would play on the road if the Mountain Hawks qualify.

Lehigh is coming off a 2-0 loss at Boston. The Terriers scorers the goals in the first 11 minutes. Lehigh’s best opportunity of the day came off a Jack Sarkos penalty kick in the 75th minute, but Sarkos was unable to knock it through.

The series is tied between the two teams with a record of 16-16-7. Lehigh has won the last three matchups. The Mountain Hawks defeated the Raiders 1-0 last year, which was also the last-regular season game. Sarkos, who leads the Mountain Hawks in points, notched the only goal in that game.
