Lehigh Set For Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay, Beginning Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh women’s golf team will travel to Grasonville, Md. for the Intercollegiate at Prospect Bay this weekend for a final tune-up before the Patriot League Championship, April 15-17 in Annapolis, Md.

Fifteen teams will compete in the 54-hole event at the par 72, 6,136-yard Prospect Bay Country Club. Saturday will feature 36 holes with the final 18 on Sunday. Starting times will start at 7:45 am each day off the #1 and #10 tees.

The tournament will include Bucknell, Dartmouth, Fairfield, Fairleigh Dickinson, Hartford, Maryland-Eastern Shore, Merrimack, Mount St. Mary’s, Penn, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, St. Francis, Toledo and William and Mary.

Lehigh is coming off a tenth place finish out of 14 teams with a final score of 956 (315-311-330) at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Va. First-year Madison Pineda led the Mountain Hawks with her third straight top-ten as she tied for ninth at 233 (79-73-81). Junior Hannah Foster and sophomore Meghna Grover both finished in the top half of the field.

Pineda, Foster, and Grover will lead a lineup featuring junior Iris Shin and sophomore Sophie Holland.

The Mountain Hawks will have two weeks to prepare for the Patriot League Championship on April 15-17 at the Naval Academy Golf Club in Annapolis, Md.
