Kahn Named to U.S. U-21 Women’s National Team Roster for Tournament in Ireland

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Two months after suiting up for the United States Under-21 Women’s National Team in Potchefstroom, South Africa, Lehigh rising senior goalkeeper Maddie Kahn has been named to the 20-player squad for a June tournament in Dublin, Ireland, as announced on Thursday . She and her US teammates will compete in the Uniphar 5-Nations Tournament from June 19-26. USA will face India, Ireland, The Netherlands and Ukraine in a round-robin style event at The Hockey Centre.

The roster was selected after a recent training camp.

The selection is the latest in a stretch of national team involvement for Kahn, who had also previously been selected to U-17 and U-19 teams.

In three seasons in goal for the Mountain Hawks, Kahn owns a 1.95 goals against average and a 74.4 save percentage. She was Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year, first team All-League and second team NFHCA All-Region following the 2021 spring campaign. This past fall, Kahn backstopped Lehigh field hockey’s strongest season in nearly 30 years and one of the best in program history. The Mountain Hawks secured the program’s first winning regular season and overall mark since 1994, while the four Patriot League victories were most since 1996 and most since the league expanded to seven teams with the addition of Boston University.
