Elliott Named Player of the Week as Lehigh Prepares for Final Two Matches of Regular Season

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men’s tennis senior Zack Elliott was named Patriot League Men’s Player of the Week for the third time this season. The announcement was made by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Elliott has played a crucial role in Lehigh’s success this season. The senior has won seven consecutive singles matches including his most recent win over William Kelleher from Holy Cross.

Against the Crusaders, Elliott picked up his seventh doubles win of the season with partner Gary Fishkin. The senior duo defeated Holy Cross’ Declan O’Flynn and Diego Tran Rosado 6-3 at the No. 1 spot.

During singles play, the senior secured his 11th singles win of the season, tying his career high.

The senior will look to lead the Mountain Hawks to their fifth and sixth league wins of the season. Lehigh will host Army on Friday, April 15 at 3 pm at Ulrich Varsity Courts. On Sunday, the Mountain Hawks host Boston University at 10 am for Senior Day at Ulrich Varsity Courts.
