North Fort Myers Red Knights
Painter helped lead the Red Knights to a pair of victories last week for a team off to a great start. The junior collected 43 total assists, 13 kills, 9 aces and 9 digs over the two contests.
“I felt really good on the court last week. I look to see who is open because I have a lot of options. This year, I’m looking to work on communication for my assists and when I’m on the front row, I can turn and hit as well.”

Cape Coral Seahawks
The senior set a personal best and was tops at the Fort Myers Cross Country Invitational, posting a time of 16:17.50. Ziomek also finished first at the DDD Summer Invitational and second at the Dunbar Tigers Jamboree.
“I was setting some big team goals this meet and wanted to get us through the first mile. I’m hoping to break 16 minutes this next meet and keep chipping down the seconds as the season goes on.”
